22. Discreet

I come to notice,
inspite of friends and accomplices;
Inspite of laughters and boastings,
I am weak to my own threats and torturings.

Despite the strength I lend them,
The help to discover their gem;
The smiles and consolation I had offered,
I am painstakingly smothered.

Yet, I chose to toss them all away,
Promised that sorrow is not meant to stay;
And I keep on playing my part,
And I locked away my heart.

I maimed my sanity,
and blamed my curiousity;
to see if I can take the beat,
of loving in discreet.

Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional,
I suffer from the love so unconditional;
but you know, it's okay because all along,
it's your faith in me that had kept me strong.
