16. Nobody New

Let me try to dawn you with comprehension
Over this endless sexist quarrel and tension
But beware of any emotional suspension
For this comes only from my vision.

Always overlooking what else we're capable of
Sir, we're even capable of fixing the stove
That is-- if we learn the way from the repairman who didn't mean to show off
Now sit properly and stop the ego cough

From swinging the spatula
To rocking in acapella
We're not expecting anything in particular
Just that you'll understand this vernacular

Brainstorming the next piece after so long
Like the vision's rarely angular but rather oblong
However it may be, we're just never wrong
On our ground we stand so tall and so strong

Typical aspects that the world sees
We directly depend on 'lovey-dovey necessities'
Frankly, to some of us that's just one of the treaties
The real deal here is the insecurities

We're indeed very odd
How we loathe lies but we're commiting the fraud
Constantly chalking and erasing the board
Running in the same circle until we're eventually bored

Lower your gaze and protect yourselves from everything we can be
The ones who when the time comes, will be the only one your eyes see
The ones who can make your whole world freeze
Armour up, for until then, we're the very beauty in tragedy

Now comes the end of the broth and stew
I never meant to be rude, I thought you knew
People will be asking, 'Who are you?'
My answer will always be 'Just a girl. Nobody new.'
